Kybella®
Deoxycholic acid used for a Kybella® treatment is injected into subcutaneous fat (the superficial layer of fat below your skin) and destroys fat cells the same way it would during digestion. The body metabolizes these dead fat cells for one to three months and excretes them through the kidneys.

Kybella® is a synthetic formulation of deoxycholic acid. It is an injection just like other fillers; however, it targets fat in the lower region of the head, dissolving it and making the jawline more contoured and the neck more streamlined.

What is Kybella®?
Kybella® is a manufactured form of deoxycholic acid (a naturally occurring material that helps the body absorb fat) that destroys the fat cells contributing to double chins. Kybella® injections mimic the body’s natural fat-absorption process so that you can skip liposuction.
When will I see results?
Kybella® begins to take effect immediately after it is injected. However, it will take some time for your results to become apparent. Because Kybella® relies on your body’s natural ability to process and eliminate damaged fat cells, it can take a few weeks for the treated cells to be flushed out. Therefore, most patients see visible results 6 to 12 weeks after treatment.

Once Kybella® destroys fat cells, they are gone forever.
How long is each treatment?
We will create a custom treatment plan based on your chin profile and aesthetic goals. At each treatment, you will receive multiple small injections under your chin. Kybella® treatments typically take about 15 to 20 minutes.
